Glasses

For many patients, squint is linked to underlying refractive errors. Corrective glasses can be an effective treatment to improve eye alignment and vision.

Eye Patch

Using an eye patch is a common approach to treat squint. The patch is worn over the stronger eye, forcing the weaker eye to work harder, which helps in muscle strengthening and proper alignment.

Eye Exercises

Eye exercises are supportive treatments that complement other medical interventions. They are not stand-alone treatments but are often recommended as part of a broader therapeutic plan. Two

Pencil Pushups

This exercise helps improve focusing and eye coordination. Hold a pencil at arm's length, focus on it, and slowly bring it towards your nose until you can maintain focus no longer. Repeat several times daily.

Barrel Card

This exercise involves focusing on progressively smaller targets to improve the eyes' ability to align correctly. Using a card with differently-sized colored barrels, the exercise helps train the eyes to align and focus simultaneously.

Surgery

Surgical intervention may be considered when other treatments do not achieve the desired results. Squint surgery adjusts the muscles around the eyes to achieve proper alignment and restore binocular vision.
